![]() ![]() This unlocking system is great, but I must admit back in the day for new players it was rather hard getting thrown into a match with players who already had a load of cool stuff unlocked. The way you unlock stuff for the classes and weapons is really cool, not to mention the vehicles too! I've been pinned down at my spawn point in Operation Metro by a dozen, well-stocked snipers and I. It always feels like you are moving forward in this game. Is the gameplay balanced Battlefield 3's online teeter-totter comes down to personal preference. What I really do like is the progression system. This is something I have always liked about the Battlefield series and this third entry in the series is no different. The gameplay on offer here is quite fast-paced, but it is still very influenced by having players actually playing to the strength of the class they have chosen. ![]() I spent a ton of time with this online back in the day and really enjoyed it. The maps are all different sizes which is something I like as it forces you to change up your tactics as you play. We are talking Conquest, Deathmatch, Rush and many more. This one has plenty of maps (I am pretty sure it launched with 9) and it has all the game modes that you would expect in a good first-person shooter. All the good things people are saying about the online gameplay, environment, graphics, etc, are all true. Of course, as good as the single-player campaign is, Battlefield 3 like the other games in the series is all about the multiplayer. Once again, the game looks great and the leap here from Battlefield 2 is very noticeable. That includes basics like UI enhancements and other tweaks, though fans still have some big picture concerns about the Specialist system.īattlefield 2042 releases on November 19 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.I really, really did enjoy my time with the campaign and was pretty invested in what was going on, but the ending!!!! The ending was really a letdown and just did not live up to the expectations that the story had set. The Battlefield 2042 open beta painted an early picture of what to expect, and while it got a lukewarm reception, EA and developer DICE have already detailed some improvements coming to the final version. There are just a few more weeks until Battlefield 2042 launches, and marketing is starting to heat up. ![]() While most high-end gaming rigs will be able to take advantage of some of the features, fans with modest hardware should keep their expectations in check. Ray tracing alone is incredibly strenuous on PCs, especially with a game as demanding as Battlefield 2042. While it's an impressive visual showcase, few players will be able to run Battlefield 2042 at the level of quality shown in the trailer. Notably, this footage was shot on a 30-Series Graphics Card. For instance, Battlefield 2042 doesn't support 120Hz on PS5 and Xbox Series X. While the console ports aren't necessarily bad performance-wise, there are some shortcomings compared to their PC counterpart. Coupled together, the features should make the PC version of Battlefield 2042 buttery smooth, compared to the alternatives. The third feature that the trailer touts is Nvidia Reflex, which is meant to measure and optimize latency in competitive games, according to Nvidia. It's one of the most impressive advancements that Nvidia has seen in quite some time, so it's good to see it at work in Battlefield 2042. The feature has a demonstrable track record of improving framerates in the titles that support it while maintaining fairly consistent quality across the board. On top of those RTX effects, Battlefield 2042 will feature Nvidia's DLSS tech, AI software that helps keep game performance smooth.
